The process
[PLACEHOLDER — APPLICATION FORM]
The family application form belongs here. Because it collects information about a named child, it must not go live until outbound email is configured and tested end to end, or submissions will be lost silently.
You contact us by form, phone, or through a school, clinic, or library that referred you. Our target is an intake consultation within 48 hours of first enquiry.
A Program Coordinator speaks with you by phone, video, or in person — whichever you prefer. The conversation covers your child’s age, grade, school, and current services; the reading history, including when difficulties were first noticed and what has been tried; household circumstances and income range for eligibility; and practical matters such as scheduling, format, and how far you can travel.
We assess against the four criteria set out on the families page. Families meeting the initial criteria complete a formal application including income documentation and consent to share information with a provider.
We recommend approved providers matched to your child’s profile, the methodology indicated, and your location and schedule — with availability confirmed before we present them. You receive each provider’s credentials, approach, location, and availability, and you choose.
Once you have chosen, we send the provider referral documentation and scholarship terms, and confirm to you what is covered and for how long. We pay the provider directly.
Any school records or previous evaluations, if they exist. Nothing is required to make the first enquiry.
We fund proven reading intervention for children whose families cannot afford it — in Kansas City, Blue Springs, Independence, and surrounding communities.
